When every ginseng plant has a digital identity
Trust is the greatest barrier in the ginseng market. Buyers struggle to tell mature ginseng from young plants, Vietnamese ginseng from imports of uncertain origin.
Every ginseng plant in the Thổ Sâm Việt Nam system is assigned an identification code from the moment it is planted. Its growth log — each round of feeding, each leaf-thinning, periodic photographs — is recorded onto a distributed ledger that cannot be altered after the fact.
When a product leaves the growing region, the plant code travels with each packaged unit. Scan a single QR code and the buyer sees the exact ginseng plant, the exact plot, the exact person who tended it.
The technology here is not for show. It exists so that a promise — “seven-year-old ginseng, grown beneath the forest canopy of the Thổ Sâm region” — becomes something that can be verified.
